The reverse feature sets these particular Heavy Duty Ratchet Handles apart from other standard variants. Instead of pulling upwards to tighten the strap they tighten when they are ratcheted down, making it the absolute successor to classic designs. 

With this feature it requires less energy and effort to tighten the strap because it allows you to get your body weight behind it. Having this variation ergonomic ratchet helps to prevent straining and pulling muscles in your body that could be damaged when putting excess force into pulling a ratchet to tighten it.
